We are so fortunate to be partnering with a choir called Messengers Uganda. They are a choir linked to a church and school at Kittetika, near Kampala in Uganda. They have two choirs - one for older students and another for younger children called 'Little Messengers'. Some of the older choir came to join us for our first ever performance in March 2008 and the relationship has remained strong since then. We stay in touch mainly through email and we enjoy sharing photos of each others performances.
Any profits raised by our community choir are sent to Peter and Rose Kasozi to use for their school and community work. Some of the ways our money has helped our Ugandan friends has included purchasing a maize-milling machine; buying a roof for a classroom; and more recently building a dormitory for the new school they are opening in a neighbouring village. Peter and Rose visit the UK from time to time and have built a lovely relationship with the choir.
